Algonac Community Theatre (ACT) was formed in 1980 and became a 501-c-3 non-profit organization in November 7, 2003. The group produced 46 plays thru 2003, and continues to present wonderful productions such as these:

2004: "Monday Always Leads to Murder" / "Seussical the Musical"
2005: "Lie, Cheat and Genuflect" / "Opal's Husband"
2006: "Death By Arrangement" / "The Wizard of Oz"
2007: "Harvey" / "Li'l Abner"
2008: "You Can't Take It With You" /
ACT also presents "Theatre on the River", which is an annual summer production in the Algonac riverside park and is free for all. Skits, one-acts and Comedy Improv are presented. The event is scheduled for Thursday, August 21, 2008, 7:00 pm., at the gazebo in Riverfront

The ACT awards two college scholarships
per year to Algonac High School Seniors who have experience
and an interest in the theatre.
The winners for the 2007-2008 school year are Jessica Rupersburg and Barbara Schmidt. Congratulations, Ladies!
